In a large bowl season potatoes generously with salt and pepper. Drizzle with evoo and then toss with remaining bread crumbs and cheese. Bring up 2 sides of foil so edges meet. Seal edges, making a tight 1/2-inch fold; fold again, allowing space for heat circulation and expansion. Fold other sides to seal.
Place packets, seam side up, on grill. Cover grill; cook over medium heat 18 to 23 minutes, rotating packets once, until potatoes are tender.
